Overview:

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is  the first, and currently only, phone that runs Android's latest operating system: Ice Cream Sandwich.  This review is going to focus on the device as a whole, which includes Ice Cream Sandwich, but will go in depth on the operating system at a later time.  It is hard not to compare the Galaxy Nexus to the Galaxy S II line of phones but in reality the two phones do not share much in common.  Being a Nexus device the Galaxy Nexus is considered Android's  premier device, for the time being at least.  One thing to note about the GSM version of the Phone is that it is not officially available for sale from any carrier in the US, and thus is sold completely unlocked, and will work on the HSPA+ networks of both AT&T and T-Mobile.  For me this is important because it allows users to create a Wifi network for no added cost.

Going forward the reviews on Gadginator will be based on how well the device matches up with it's target audience.  This will allow the site to review a wider range of products and not punish companies for making a niche device.  I have a backlog of reviews I have been working on, that will be coming out shortly that use this new format, and I would love to hear feedback!

Intro:

AT&T is aggressively expanding the coverage of its LTE network, and also expanding the lineup of phones that take advantage of that network.  The LG Nitro HD is the third LTE Android phone released for AT&T thus far and while it shares many features with the previous two phones it is also able to differentiate itself from the pack.  The focal point of the LG Nitro HD is the amazing 4.5 inch 720p screen, which is the first 720p screen on any AT&T phone.  Looking down the spec sheet of the Nitro it can go toe-to-toe with any other phone on the market, and we wanted to know if it was able to live up to expectations.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is testing out a smaller form factor of the iPad.  This smaller iPad features an 8inch screen, original model has 9.7inch, but keeps the current screen resolution.  This means that with the smaller screen and current resolution that Apple could call the screen a "retina display."

These days it is getting harder and harder to tell one phone apart from another.  They are all the same basic design, a rectangle slab of glass.  This video from LG is teasing a phone that features a 5inch 4:3 aspect ratio screen, that will look like nothing else on the market.
